In our Owen Sound Kiwanis Club, our priority is helping children. Please come out and join us at our meetings on the first Thursdays for lunch at 12:10 and the third Thursday at 6 p.m. for dinner at the Inn on the Bay. Making a Difference in 2016!

 

 

Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound members gathered at the site of Chapman House in June to present a cheque for $125, 000 to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce Executive Director Scott Lovell. The money donated will provide the necessary funds to help build a Kiwanis children's playroom at the hospice.

 

Gary Levine Elected to Kiwanis International Board

The Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound is pleased to announce that Past Governor of Eastern Canada and Caribbean, Gary Levine was elected to the position of International Trustee for Canada and the Caribbean to the Board of Kiwanis International. He was elected at our 100th Anniversary of Kiwanis in Canada Convention, May 2016, in Hamilton Ontario.

Attending the convention were Kiwanis delegates and guests from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI,17 nations of the Caribbean and two countries in South America.

The opportunity to run for this position comes only once every 6 years. It was over 35 years ago that Ray Allen, a distinguished member of the Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound, was elected to this position.Our Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound, Division 8 is indeed proud of International Trustee Gary Levine.

Our Anniversary Year 2015!

 

We celebrated 100 years of the founding of Kiwanis in 2015. Our own club is proud to be in our 91st year of serving Owen Sound.
