Division 8 Fall Newsletter

A Message From Our Lieutenant Governor

Greetings to my fellow Division 8 Kiwanians,

I trust that everyone had an enjoyable summer, and that you are excited for the commencement of yet another Kiwanis year.

I consider it both an honour and a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve alongside you as your Lieutenant Governor for Division 8, Huronia, Eastern Canada and the Caribbean.

As the immediate Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia, I have experienced the many joys that come from accomplishing attainable goals.

Lieutenant Governor of Division 8, Stephanie Worthington is excited to lead our clubs to a very successful year ahead. LG Steph believes in the potential for more growth

in Division 8.

I have also become more knowledgeable of the challenges that we face as Kiwanians in this day and age. Membership growth is critical. That being said, we are thrilled to announce a newly formed club in our Division, the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville-Muskoka (Read about our newest club). I would like to extend a friendly welcome to our new Club and its Charter Members. The Charter night will be held on November 25th. Here is their invitation to you.

This is an exciting time to be a Kiwanian in Division 8. We had the distinct pleasure of hosting Governor Robert Moo Young and his wife Josie from Montego Bay from October 11th to 14th. We were honored to hear Governor Robert share his plans and goals with us at the dinner in Barrie. (Read more about the Governor's visit)

My goal is to act as a pillar of support to all clubs within our Division, to assist you with member engagement, club revitalization, and helping you to set and reach attainable goals with a continued focus on each club’s I-Plan. Let’s continue to inspire others, make positive impacts in our communities, promote our positive image at every opportunity and celebrate our investment in the future!

I look forward to getting to know you and your clubs better. I am confident that we have a strong team in place to support our communities, with the privilege of doing so in the name of Kiwanis. I wish you great success in the new Kiwanis year!

Respectfully,

Stephanie Worthington
