The Builder for March 30th
There were 18 Kiwanians in attendance at our luncheon at the Inn on the Bay. Kiwanians were greeted by K Fred Druyf and K Paul Matthies. President Susan Davey asked PP Gord Harris to lead us in the Builder's Song. P Susan led O Canada and she gave the invocation. DP Paul Strimas was the recipient of the lucky draw ticket and generously donated his winnings back for the good of the club.
K Paul Matthies read through each survey section and led a discussion. Twenty members had previously filled out the survey and returned it. Due to the lengthy discussion, the survey will be the topic at the luncheon this week as well. P Susan is taking notes of your comments. It will all be very helpful when creating our IPLAN for the club.
Chapman House and Kiwanis Builders!
Several members of our club attended the Open House on Friday to view how the Kiwanis Children's Activity Room is progressing.
Thank you to PP John Prettie for being there and sharing his photos of the tour.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
The Kiwanis Music Festival has all volunteer positions filled. P Susan Davey thanked DS Julia Levine for helping make this possible.
K Michelle Kobryn said the Grey Roots Museum Maple Fest was successful but numbers were down from last year. 180 meals were served and enjoyed. K Michelle thanked all those who participated which included Kiwanians, spouses and friends. K Michelle would like to see more club participation in Food Events. Survey Says...shorter shifts would be better but this can only happen if more Kiwanians participate.
Thank you to K Rob Hassard for covering for DS Julia at Keppel Sarawak and DP Bob at Bayview again. It is greatly appreciated.
CONGRATULATIONS TO PAST PRESIDENT PETER LITTLE ON RECEIVING HIS Kiwanis 25 Year Pin.
It was presented by PPPE Don Sweatman. We thank PP Peter for his continuous service to our club and our community!
