OUR CLUB
The Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound has been serving our community for nearly a century.
Over the past few years, the club has continued to strengthen our community when it was needed most. Yearly we donate in the range of $100k to local organizations that every day improve the lives of children and their families. The global pandemic reminded us all of our connection to each other and the importance of working together to create a healthy society. As our pre-pandemic activities resume, we are seeking new members eager to find a way to help others.
Our club currently has 52 active members.
Our volunteers support dozens of youth-based activities and organizations – through fundraising, volunteering, partnering, organizing, and providing financial support.

Your questions answered
Our volunteers support youth-based activities and organizations throughout Grey and Bruce counties.
Our list of initiatives and partnerships is long, including the Kiwanis Santa Claus parade, the Kiwanis music festival, the Kiwanis soccer complex, the Harrison Park Kiwanis playground, the Kiwanis Sk8 & Bike park, the Kiwanis Children’s room at the Residential Hospice, the O’SHaRE Kiwanis kitchen, and the Reconciliation Garden.
We also provide yearly scholarships to local high schools, and annually have donated significant amounts to the Salvation Army, REACH, O-SHaRE, Big Brothers/Sisters, the Roxy Youth Theatre program, and many more.
We ask that you do what you can, when you can. We know people only have so much time to give.
We are looking for community minded individuals who are interested in volunteering with like-minded people to support their local community.
Our members attend as many meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities as their schedule permits.
We have several other committees you may consider becoming involved with, dealing with scholarships, financial aid requests, the music festival, finances, planning social events, and more.
General member meetings occur twice a month.
The second Thursday of each month, meetings are held over the lunch hour (noon-1pm) at our Clubhouse in Heritage Place mall.
The fourth Thursday of each month we meet at The Best Western Inn on the Bay, at 5pm.
We understand that your work commitments may not allow you to always attend these meetings.
